Submitted since Manic sees the need to send people over to my personal little corner of fail.
My 1st independent project for Visual Fundamentals; I had no idea what I was gonna do so I started doodling to pass the time and Richard (my teacher) pops out of nowhere and was all "YOU SHOULD MAKE THAT INTO A SERIES! " to which I responded, "But that's not my proj- nevermind."
SO, 1st is fully traditional pencil-on-paper, 2nd is the lineart scanned and colored over, and the 3rd is purely digital paint in Photoshop. BASICALLY, the idea is they get further and further away from the traditional medium and closer and closer into the digital as the series progresses. Which follows along with the idea of the man (traditional) turning into/being a mask for the machine (digital).
No, not really, but that's how I'm pitching it to the class. (I'm a potential English Major, BSing stuff is what we do best.)
Hey, that's good BS, they'll eat that up. And it doesn't look half bad, either. I'm going to agree that the second one is best. Haha, what does that say about how I do my art in the theory of this collection?
Mostly it's that it has texture and color, while the other two lack one or the other.

Ohmigod! They're fighting each other to the death!!! .......Wanna go get some frozen yogurt?
Oh, really? :< I was trying to give the 3rd one a kind of oily, painty texture. I used a textured brush and fiddled with the opaqueness and everything. But yeah, I haven't really fiddled around much with digital painting yet.
Damn that sucks! Another five weeks, I'd scream!! Anyway, yes I am home, still working of course, but home. Besides that, nothing much, just a lot of future planning that has been keeping me busy.
You're welcome

Ha ha, yeah- be glad you're working, though; I'm going to have to go through the trouble of searching for a job again. ;_; Tell me if you hear of anything, okay?!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
